Another successful day…slow start

We had a bit of a slow start to our day…late riser (Mom) and a bit of an attitude problem with one child. However, we were soon able to move on and here is what we completed…..

  • Logan is following week 1 of the OFE 7th grade curriculum plan, Saxon 8/7, and R&S English level 5
  • Hailey and Corbin completed Unit 2, day 2 in Beyond….each also completed math and a handwriting lesson. Corbin listened to two more chapters of The Adventures of Peter Cottontail and Hailey began reading (and actually finished because it’s a short, easy read) The Littles on her own. She has a book review due by Friday for the book. She also completed another lesson in her reading skills workbook (Harcourt, from Barnes & Noble), a spelling worksheet, 15 minutes of typing, and another section of lesson 1 in The Paragraph Book.
I think that’s everything…and the day went well despite our problems starting out.
In the afternoon I took Hailey and Corbin to Toys R Us…..Corbin has been needing to spend his allowance, and we were late for last month’s trip out. Hailey bought a pack of Webkinz…included a ‘Lil Kinz and a regular Webkinz for $12.98. It wasn’t her usual dynamite find like she gets at Goodwill, but still a pretty good deal for brand new. Corbin bought a Star Wars Lego pack….Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter. It took him about 1.5 hours to put it together…all by himself, and it looks great. I’m proud of him for figuring it out without any help!
More tomorrow…we are off to donate some more things to Goodwill.
