Teaching our children to be pure and right

Proverbs 20:11 Even a child is known by his deeds, whether what he does is pure and right.

This verse was part of my bible reading today. It stood out to me because this is a goal that we continue to strive towards……making sure our children are pure and right in their hearts, and thus in their actions. It is a daily, hourly endeavor and we are constantly coming before one another and God to seek out what is right.

Prayers for us as a family seeking His will are needed and desired. Raising children in this day and age, even without all of the pressures of the ‘school scene’ for our children, is really tough. We so want to show our children how much we love them while also teaching them how to seek God and do His will. Affirming them, loving them, disciplining them….these are all things we are learning how to do, and hopefully better each day, as we go along. I am so thankful for the godly people in my life and for the instruction God gives us in the bible to guide us in all that we do.
