I am excited to announce today that in just over 2 weeks there will be some changes taking place here on the blog! As a matter of fact, I will be moving to a new web address. You will find the same kind of content over at wendywoerner.com as you’ve found here, so if you are a subscriber I do hope you will save that address and be sure to subscribe over at the new blog. Not a subscriber yet? I want you to sign up, too! Subscriber status means you’ll receive updates about my posts! The ‘go live’ date for the new site is set for November 29, 2013.
I consider blogging to be my job. Well, in addition to the jobs of wife and homeschooling mama! Over the last year I have begun to write in a more focused way here, and I also started my food blog, Southern Test Kitchen. I hold some contributor positions for other sites, as well. I love to write!
Throughout this year, I have learned a lot about professional blogging through some blogging groups that I am a part of, as well as met some women who have become special friends and mentors. They have been encouraging me to make the move, because they really feel it will help me to begin to actually make an income from my writing, as well as helping me to grow in my skill.
Ultimately, I want to provide encouragement, write great reviews, and tell you about fantastic homeschooling and faith-based products, all while enjoying the freedom to do as I wish, and as God directs me, with my blog. That is the reason I am moving.
I’m gathering items now for a big giveaway that will begin on the ‘live’ date, so make sure you don’t miss it! Everything is looking very promising. I will give you more details some time over the next couple of weeks to keep you up-to-date on all the happenings.
Until then, here’s a sneak peek of the new site!
I have yet more news for you. 🙂 God has been nudging me since September to start a new site. One with contributors. So, I am walking in obedience. The launch date for this one is further out, about mid-January, but I am already working to get the web site ready and my contributors lined up. So far it seems God is bringing some wonderful people to the table to write for me. The web site is not ready for viewing yet, but I have started a Facebook page. I hope you will head over and ‘like’ Your One Tree. That is the best way to keep up -to-date on the goings-on with the site for now, but I will update at wendywoerner.com from time to time, as well.
Now, on to the blog hop!
