Living Hope International is a successful program for homeless children from every region in Mexico. Former Mexican President Fox’s program “From the Street to Life” recognized Esperanza Viva for making strides in community service. Esperanza Viva is Puebla’s representative for this national program, but the program is under-funded and has had nominal impact. ~Patti Holmes, Living Hope International, U.S. Representative
That is where Living Hope International comes in.
Living Hope International is now in their 19thyear and has rescued over 400 children off the dangerous streets of Mexico. Esperanza Viva Youth Home in Puebla is currently caring for around 100 children. A second orphanage was opened in 2006 in Matamoros, Mexico, just over the Brownsville, Texas, border. They currently have 25 children residing there. The love of Christ is shown to these children through the staff and volunteers, and many little lives have been transformed. These homes serve as a long-term refuge for abandoned, abused, neglected, and homeless children. ~Patti Holmes, Living Hope International, U.S. Representative
Over the next few weeks I will be learning more about the organization and sharing what I learn here on my blog. I will link each blog post here for you all to read, so be sure to check back for updates and to learn how you can get involved!
