Here is the recipe I use:
2 cups plain flour (or use self-rising and omit ingredients 3-5)
4 tablespoons shortening (or you could use butter)
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
Blend all dry ingredients, then cut in shortening or butter with a pastry cutter or fork. Add milk and stir until smooth. ‘Drop’ by tablespoons onto onto your non-stick or greased pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Serve hot with butter and enjoy!
